Shannon and Ted Skokos began their love of classic and high-performance cars at an early age. Shannon often recalls as a little girl spending hours in the garage of her parents’ home while her Daddy restored American pre-war and classic post-war muscle cars. As an adult, Ted took his automotive passion to a heightened level when he entered the racing circuit at the age of 60. He and his teammate captured the 2009 North American Ferrari Challenge Championship. Currently, the Skokos couple enjoy the thrill of preserving automotive history through their Carriage House Collection of fine automobiles through which they delight in touring guests who travel from across the country to get a glimpse of their rare collection. With knowledge that the number of craftsman trained to restore automobiles is declining, The Ted and Shannon Skokos Foundation has partnered, along with other generous donors, with The Piston Foundation to support the funding of scholarships to students attending a 2- or 4-year automotive technology program who have a strong interest in working with collector cars. Congratulation to the Class of 2024 scholarship recipients.
